It represents the so-called Regional Series (Vineyard Select)
It has a very intense bouquet of ripe blackberries, cherries and plums, with a slight aroma of pepper and spices. The color is dominated by shades of plum with a bit of ink. Flavors of cherry, vanilla and cinnamon are the result of this wine being matured in new French and American oak barrels for 12 months. Excellent with beef Burgundy and roast duck.
Australian Shiraz is French Syrah. Due to different climate, Shiraz is more spicy and you can taste dark chocolate in it.
A characteristic feature of the Australian Riesling is that the wine acquires smoky smell as it ages. Often there is a hint of gasoline, this is not a sign of wine spoilage, but an unique feature.
