The Rheinhessen (Rhine Hessen) region, is located in the forks of the Rhine, Main and Nahe rivers. The wine's distinctive figure of a nun in a blue habit symbolizes the important role that monks from the Rhine valley have played in wine culture.

The international success of the Blue Nun series of wines lies in the first-class quality, which is achieved by careful selection of the grapes already before harvest, gentle pressing of the wine must, slow and controlled fermentation, as well as sufficiently long ageing of the wine and sterile bottling.

The light golden Eiswein has a rich grape bouquet, balanced by refreshing acidity.  

It is ideal for serving at formal gatherings to enjoy as a complement to desserts or as a delicate after-dinner wine.
